All the war in this world...
last night...
Pancho:Papa Jesus thank you for taking care of my family and please remove all the war in this world. Hail Mary... Our Father.. Angel of God... Amen..
Maki: How do you know about that Kuya? About the war?
Pancho: I saw it on TV while Mom was watching the news.
Maki: Is that Iraq Kuya? What's Iraq?
Pancho: Iraq.. that means war! They're fighting.
Maki: What does war mean? Bad guys?
Pancho: Maki you pray na..it's your turn. You're always asking me so many questions.
Maki: Hail Mary full of grace... Mom what's grace? ..Pray for us sinners..Mom what's sinners? But deliver us from evil...Mom why deliver us from evil di ba evil is bad?
Wala akong balak i- career ang nangyayari sa US at Iraq.
Oo nga kabisado nya Hail Mary, The Lord's Prayer and Angel of God pero 3 yrs old lang sya, kaya siguro habang nagdadasal sya, dami nyang tanong.
Basta ang dasal ko lang pareho ng kay Kuya..."Lord, thank you for taking care of my family and please remove all the war in this world.. amen."

Swimming
We went swimming at Club Filipino yesterday with their cousins Kuya Awi and Ate Nikki, Ninang Candy and Tita Maite. We got there around 4:30 pm and stayed until 6.
Si Maki as usual was in his villain persona again. He was trying to run after everybody pretending he was a shark or some sea monster.
Hyper silang dalawa kasi kasama nila cousins nila especially when they're with Kuya Awi. Although Kuya Awi is much older than them enjoy sila everytime they're together. Wala kasi syang brother dahil yung dalawang kapatid nya parehong girls si Nikki and Andie.
Pancho wanted to take up swimming lessons this summer. Kaya lang isip ko baka they're too young siempre pag swimming lessons si kuya for sure pati si Maki gusto din nya...although I already called up some sports clinic and they are offering swimming lessons for toddlers. I wanted them to be busy with something other than their Playstation this summer. Pag nag lalaro ng playstation away ng away.kakaloka!

The Mary Jane Kiss...
Pancho and Maki enjoyed the movie Spiderman so much. They saw it on big screen, bought a pirated copy (hehehe) and even bought the original. They even have a copy in Tonti's car so they can watch it everytime we use his car. Yesterday it was one of their "kulitan" moments. They were laughing so hard and screaming I thought that they were fighting. I went down to check on them and heard their conversation...
Pancho: Sige na Maki...you do what I told you...
Maki: eeewwwww I don't like...
Pancho: Sige na...
I asked them what was going on..and what was so funny.
Maki: Mom...Kuya said he will do the Mary Jane kiss..the one in Spiderman..
Mom: What's so funny about that?
Pancho: Eh kasi Mom how funny the kiss of Mary Jane..
Mom: How's the kiss of Mary Jane?
They were still laughing so hard that Pancho can't explain it well..
Maki: Kuya told me to open my mouth and then he will stick out his tongue and kiss me .. yuccckkkk like a snake!
I told them to show me how and It was really funny because they looked like two thirsty puppies sticking out their tongues at me.

Pancho's bright ideas
One of Pancho's favorite expression is "I have an idea". Here are some of Pancho's bright ideas...
Yesterday while I was trimming Pancho's nails....
Pancho: Mom..I have an idea, why don't you be a "NAILS CUTTER"?
Mom: What's that?
Pancho: Your work... "Nails Cutter", kasi you're very good in cutting nails eh.
Mom: What does a "nails cutter" do?
Pancho: You have a store and then you're inside the store and then the kids will go to your store and you will cut their nails. Then they will give you money.
Mom: They don't have to go to me, their Mom's can do that.
Pancho: What if they don't have a Mom? Di ba that's a nice work?
Mom: Yes that's a nice work....we'll tell Dada ok?
Pancho: Ok
Parang manicurista ata ang dating nun ah.
The other day while I was fixing my wallet....
Pancho: Mom, I have an idea!
Mom: What's that?
Pancho: I know na how we can make lots of money.
Mom: How?
Pancho: We'll always eat at Mcdo and then we'll have lots of money.
Mom: How can we have money if we're going to spend it at Mcdo?
Pancho: Eh kasi when we ate at Mcdo, Dada paid one yellow money and then the girl gave her plenty of violet money!

The "Not Fighting" Award
We attended Maki's recognition day this morning. They had a short program that we had fun watching.
After the program they gave out the awards and we were surprised to find out that Maki got the "Most Friendly" award.
We were so proud although everybody in their class got different awards, at least alam ko na mabait sya sa school. He kept on staring at his certificate and trying to make believe that he's reading it. Sabi nya..."To Tomas Joachim Sanchez, most friendly and not fighting with classmates."
His Kuya was equally proud of him, and on our way home he kept on telling Maki that he shouldn't remove his "Most Friendly" ribbon so that he wouldn't fight with him always. When we got home he was the first one to announce to everybody that Maki got the "Most Friendly" award. And hindi rin natuloy yung reading contest due to lack of time and preparation. So I told him that i'm going to make him a certificate also just like Maki's. Happy na sya dun. Happy din kami.
Check out Maki's school pictures.

relax...
Another school year has ended and it's the first day of their summer vacation. After having breakfast I called the kids and told them that I have a surprise for them. What better way to start off their summer vacation than to wake up the next morning with their kiddie pool in the garage. It was last year's pool but seeing it again after a year made them so excited. You would think that it was their first time.
It was cousin Chynna's first attempt to get wet outside of the bathroom so she went ahead of the boys while the water was still ankle deep. She wasn't at all frightened but she too was so excited. Pancho was so proud cause he learned how to float all by himself (with arm floaters of course). He kept on telling me to take pictures so he can show it to Mama Gie, Papa Romy and Ninang Gigi. Maki was so amazed of what his kuya can do.
Maki: " How do you do that Kuya?"
Pancho: "Just lie down, lift your body and let it float, like this o....relax"
Pancho once again showed him how to float, when Maki saw all of his kuya's hair floating in the water he asked ...
Maki: "Kuya...how do you relax your hair?"
While watching them it made me stop and think, it doesn't really cost too much to make the kids happy, and the joy that they give in return seeing them this way is priceless.

exam week
It's exam week kaya busy kami mag review. Si Maki tapos na ang exams so practice na lang sila for their recognition day. Enjoy sila mag review kasi I make reviewers for them tapos i'll check it and put a star and yung favorite ni Pancho na 10/10 or 20/20. Mahilig sa star si Pancho kahit assignment notebook nya pagkatapos nya isulat assignments nya lalagyan nya ng star at minsan may 6/5 pa. Sabi nya "I wrote it nicely, teacher forgot to put a star and score"...eh assignment yun ..sus!
Kakaloka ang reviewer ni Pancho for Math, may addition, subtraction and fraction! Hay naku...kaya tuloy last night sabi nya sa prayer nya....
"Papa Jesus, please bless me in my addition."

thank you Ate Gi

You've been my sister for many years,
We've laughed together and shed some tears.
We've had harsh words and pulled some hair
But against the world we are a terrific pair.
Our times together are very few
I just want to say
I LOVE YOU !
After more than a month we're finally done with this website. I've been planning to put up a webpage for my children ever since Pancho was born, well here it is and I could not have done this without her help. Or maybe I could, but not as impressive as this one. It took us a while to get this up because we had to recall all the memories and pictures ever since they were born. Surprisingly she has more pictures of the kids in her pc than anybody else in our family including me! Not only that, she still remembers every story, events and details about the kids wether big or small considering she was in Canada already even before my eldest was born. I know it was easy for her to come up with something like this for my children because she loves them very much.
Thank you for everything Ate Gi and we love you too.

Surprise me...
Pancho: Tonti, what are you doing?
Mox: I'm reading something, why?
Pancho: Tomorrow you cook spaghetti ha...you surprise me.
alam nya kasi ash wednesday kaya di pa pwedeng kumain ng sarap food
Mox: Ok..i'll surprise you....
at ipinagluto sya agad ng spaghetti that very same day, hindi na ipinagpabukas...3 cheese spaghetti. na surprise sya =)

it's Ash Wednesday (part three)
The kids just got home from school and they were excited to show me the ashes on their foreheads.
Sabi ni Pancho somebody who looks like Mama Mary went to their room and put ash on them.

it's Ash Wednesday (part two)..
Mom: I thought you're not supposed to eat sarap food? It's ash wednesday today remember?
Pancho: Yah, I know, but I don't have a cross on my forehead naman eh. You and Dada can't eat this because you have cross on your forehead. Papa Jesus will get mad at you. Don't eat this Mom ha.
Maki: Mom! I'm just cleaning your forehead look how dirty...yakkk!

Pancho: Mom tomorrow it's Ash Wednesday. Me, Maki, you and dada, we should go to church, and then the priest will put a cross on our forehead. So that Papa Jesus will guide us. And Teacher Imee said we should not eat "sarap" foods, eat only the not "sarap" foods.
katuwa talaga si kuya...

grow up Maki...

Last night Maki and I had the chance to have a "serious talk" because Pancho slept early.
Mom: Maki this year you're going to be 4 yrs old already and you're not a baby anymore. How's that, I don't have a baby na. I'll miss having a baby...
Maki: we have Chynna cake naman eh....she's your baby na lang...di ba she's still a baby?
Mom: Chynna cake is mini cake's and tito Paolo's baby, she's not mine...
Maki: ehhh Mom it's hard eh...it's hard to be a baby..
Mom: what's hard?
Maki: it's hard to "grow down" Mom...
Mom: what's "grow down"? (although i think i know what he meant...)
Maki: like this Mom...
(he stood up then slowly sits down trying to show me that he's getting smaller and smaller...)
Maki: Mom...pleeease...I want to grow up...(sad face)
Mom: ok...i will not ask you to "grow down" anymore...just grow up.. i love you maki....
Maki: i love you mom...goodnight
Baka tama si Maki ah...kung merong GROW UP baka meron talagang GROW DOWN? Makes sense di ba?
