bestfriends
Si Pancho, Mr. Friendship yan. He can easily make friends. When he was in nursery at STI - Preschool, his bestfriend was Neil. Halos lahat ng pics nya sa school kasama nya yun. In fact pareho silang lumipat ng Immaculate nung nagkinder sila kaya lang 'di sila mag-classmate. Although he was disappointed, it wasn't that hard for him to adjust. He easily made new friends. Andyan si Nikolai na laging kinukuha yung green pencil daw nya, si Yanna Fae na lagi daw syang inaaway, si Christian na lagi daw naiiwan kasi di nagsusulat pareho nya, at ang bago nyang bestfriend, si Michael Clarence.
Lagi nyang kwento si Michael Clarence makulit daw. "Pero even if he's kulit he's still my bestfriend" sabi nya. One time he brought a book to school. Nagyabang kasi he knows how to read already and he reads well. Pag labas nya ng school I was waiting for him at the gate, lumapit sa kin si Michael Clarence at ang sabi..."Yang anak mo! Marunong ng magbasa!" Ang tono nya parang pinapagalitan ako. Pancho was laughing then he whispered to me, "I told you he's kulit eh". I asked him what he did in school. "Teacher let me read in front of the class, standing on the riser and then they were all listening to the story. Afterwards they all clapped their hands and they all went to me." He was so proud of it and he wanted to join the reading contest this March.

Mini Cake, Porky Pie, Chicken Wings at Chynna Cake
In the beginning there was Mini Cake, then came Porky Pie, followed by Chicken Wings and now Chynna Cake.
Yan ang evolution nila.Itong dalawa mahilig magbigay ng mga alias. Tawag ni Pancho kay tita Pia nya Mini Cake. Pag tinanong mo sya kung bakit sabihin nya lang. "I like". So tinawag naman syang Porky Pie ni Pia at Chicken Wings naman si Maki. Ewan kung saan nanggaling yung mga yun.
Nung nanganak na si Pia isip sila ng pangalan. Gusto nilang dalawa Fiona yung ka loveteam ni Shrek. Gusto ng tito Paolo nila Annika. 
So nagkasundo sila Annika Fiona. Pero di type ni Maki na tawaging Fiona or Annika yung baby kaya tinawag nyang Ching Ching...ewan pa rin kung bakit.
Pero ngayon ang tawag na ni Maki kay Ching Ching eh Chynna Cake (sheeena cake). Kaya ang official na nickname na nya Chynna. Sana last na ito bago magkaron ng identity crisis si Chynna.

Mama Gie
When Pancho was born everybody was excited. Pero ang Mommy ko mas excited pa sa amin ni Dada. In fact she was the one who was in the delivery room with me kasi si Chino mahina ang loob. So si Mommy was inside busy covering the whole event. Lahat ng angulo may picture. When it was Maki's turn I know she would have done the same but the doctor didn't allow anybody inside the delivery room. So it was just the staff who took Maki's picture. And it wasn't half as good as the ones taken by my mom.
I'm so lucky to have her with me because she taught me everything I need to know being a first time mom. She made things a lot easier for me. That's why when Maki came, I was already a pro.
On Pancho's first birthday she gave him a very special and priceless gift. She made a crosstitch of Pancho in his tigger costume. It was so big it almost covered the entire wall of the playroom. Who can beat that?
I will forever be grateful for everything she has given us. Not to mention everything that I have learned from her. And I want to thank her not only for being a wonderful grandmother to my sons but for being a second mother to them as well.

Baluuut
One of Pancho's Favorite show on AXN is Fear Factor and Amazing Race. He also watches Tech TV. Maki on the other hand watches Ripley's, type din nya si David Blaine and one of his latest favorite...World's Freakiest Food on AXN.
Just the other night they featured "balut" from the Philippines. After seeing that he started asking for balut. "Mom! Baluuuut!! I want Baluuut!!" Mahilig talaga sa itlog si Maki. At di lang isang klase ng itlog. Itlog na pula, itlog ng pugo, penoy, balut pati yung sisiw kinakain nya. Natakam siguro sya sa balut na napanood nya.
I told him it's late already and we can't buy balut anymore. Aba nagwala...I have to scold him kasi ayaw na paawat. Kung andito lang siguro lolo't lola nya ibinili na sya ng balut. Pero wala sa lugar noh! Paghanapin ba ako ng balut? Pagkatapos ng mahabang awayan natahimik din sya.
Ganyan si Maki, uubusin nya muna ang lakas nya at uubusin nya muna ang pasensya ko bago sya tumigil. Pero as my doctor always say, "don't give in." Pag sinabi mong hindi pwede dapat hindi talaga pwede. Kahit na maglupasay pa sila. So napagod sya sa kakaiyak, maya maya sorry na sya ng sorry. Back to watching TV. Nilipat ko na sa Disney channel kasi baka kung ano pang makita nya.
"Uy...Mom...Dinosaurs!! My favorite!!!" Good mood na sya ulit. "Mom..can I eat the egg of the dinosaur?"

Papa Jesus.. are you there?
Pancho never forgets to pray everynight. He learned how to pray Angel Of God when he was only two yrs old. By the time he was three kabisado na nya Hail Mary.
Pag pinapagalitan ko sya magtatakip yan ng unan tapos nagsasalita mag isa. Pag tinanong mo sya what he's doing he's talking to his angel daw. Everynight he starts his prayer with "thank you Papa Jesus for the ....", tapos susundan na yun ng madaming "please bless....","please give me..." and ends his prayer with Angel of God and Hail Mary. I remember one time when he was only 3 yrs old after he prayed he asked me..
Pancho: Mom, how come Papa Jesus is not talking to me? Everytime na lang I'm talking to Him he doesn't answer.
Mom: Papa Jesus doesn't have to talk to you but He can hear you every time you talk to Him. And if you're a good boy He will give you everything that you asked for in your prayers.
Natahimik sya...kala ko ok na yung sagot ko pero may parting words pa sya...
Pancho: Who told you that? Did He talk to you ba and He's not talking nga!?!?
Mom: Pancho, it's late na, let's go to sleep....

Dada, take care...
Si Maki mabait na bata yan kaya lang may pagkamatapang compared to his kuya - lalo na pag sila ni Dada ang nag-aaway. One time may pinagtatalunan sila ng Dada nya. Umiiyak na sya sabay sigaw sa Dada nya, "Get out of my house!!!" Nagkatinginan kami ni Dada. Ano daw? Gusto naming matawa pero pinagalitan ko sya. I told him he's not supposed to talk to his Dada that way. Nag-sorry naman sya after.
Minsan naman sobrang sweet nya kay Dada nya. Like there was one time paalis na si Dada papuntang office sabi ni Maki, "I love You, Dada... Take care of your wallet, ha?" O di ba, mabait? Pati wallet ng Dada nya concerned sya.

Amor Powers
Minsan habang nanonood kami ng teleseryeng "Pangako Sa Yo" sabi ni Pancho, "You know what, Mom, you look like Miss Powers." Aba, syempre tuwang-tuwa ang Mommy! Tapos nakita nya in person si Amor sa premiere night ng Monsters Inc. Naku, na-excite sya. Sigaw sya, "MOM..There's Miss Powers! Di ba you look like her?!?!" Medyo nahiya na ata ako. Buti na lang wala masyado nakapansin.
Pero eto ang mas matindi. Nung minsan nag-bazaar kami sa World Trade. May stall si Eula katabi ng stall namin. He wanted to have a picture with Eula so I took their picture. Ok na sana, humirit pa sya ng, "You know what, Tita Eula, you look like my Mom. Di ba Mom, you look like her?" Natawa ang Tita Eula. Sabi ko na lang sa kanya, "Ang bait ng anak ko, noh?"
Pero come to think of it, magkamukha naman kami talaga eh. Medyo mas maputi lang sya, mas matangos ilong nya, mas matangkad sya, not to mention mas maganda sya.... Pero on second thought, hindi rin.... Mabait lang talaga si Pancho.:)

Tonti and his bracelets
Tonti..tawag ni Maki kay tito Mox nya. He was only a year and a half when he started calling him that. Favorite nyang inisin si Maki, pareho kasi silang alaskador, siguro kasi pareho silang Leo. Pero ang ending laging iiyak si Maki.
Maki: Tonti...why do you have bracelets?
Tonti: What bracelets? I don't wear bracelets.
Maki: There o..on your teeth..why do you have to put bracelets on your teeth?
Tonti: Maki these are not bracelets..you call them braces.
Maki: NO! that's bracelet! You have a bracelet...you have a bracelet...nyenyenye
Tonti: o sige..bracelet pala ha...come here i'll put bracelets on your teeth you like?
Maki: MOM!!! TONTI'S MAKING KULIT ME!!!! WAAAAAAHH

Si Mamang and Papang.....
In one of Pancho's prayer...."Please bless my mamas and papas, my titos and titas my mom,my dada, and my baby brother Maki. And Papa Jesus can you please give Mamang (great granny) more bones because she's very slow when she's walking. Amen"
Minsan naman nung namatay ang Papang asawa ng Mamang he asked me why Papang is inside the box...he was only 3 yrs old then. I told him that Papang died already and he's going to heaven to be with Papa Jesus. Sabi nya, "Eh he doesn't have wings naman, ah. How can he go there?"

Papa Romy

Pancho was lucky enough to spend his first two years with my Dad, not to mention si Pancho ang first apo nila. Iba ang bonding nilang dalawa. But when Maki came out somehow nature found it's way to make Maki closer to my Dad.... magkamukha sila..sobra! So with that alone instant favorite na rin sya.
Maki was only 8 mos old when my Dad left for Canada. Hindi sila masyadong nagbonding and wala pang masyadong memories si Maki of his Papa Romy hind pareho ni kuya. When my Dad went home he was already 2 yrs old.
I can never forget that moment....
Maki was still sleeping. Sabi ni Daddy "Wag mong gisingin. Tingnan natin kung makikilala pa nya ako". Sa isip ko.... "naku maalala pa kaya nya si Daddy eh he was only 8 mos old when he left?" When Maki woke up, si Daddy was just staring at him from a distance, we were all quiet waiting for his next move. Biglang pumunta si Maki kay Daddy and he hugged him as if Daddy was a long lost friend.
I've always kept that moment in my heart. Hindi pala yun sa tagal nilang magkasama, nasa dugo pala yun....nasa puso. My Daddy's love for my children especially kay Maki has somehow found it's way despite the distance... I just don't know how.

Lubak
Last night before we went to sleep ...
Pancho: Mom, where is Dada going to sleep when he gets old?
Mom: In our bed, why?
P : I don't like to sleep with old people eh.
M : Who's old ba?
P : Like Mamang (lola nya sa tuhod), Mama Gie, Papa Romy, Mama Mila, Papa Ric (mga grandparents nya)
M : Eh why nga? That's not nice... The old people that you are talking about are the ones giving you toys..Sige ka
P : Because they have plenty of lubak, Mom eh... I want to sleep with you lang... Like this o. How soft and no lubak (tapos sabay himas sa braso ko and sa siko)
M : Anak... Someday Mom's going to be old also (ready na sana akong magdrama and discuss to him the facts of life...)
P : YOU'RE NOT...cause you're always putting lotion!
Moral of the story ang laging nag lolotion hindi tumatanda

Itong si Maki, he always has a "way with words". Isang umaga nagising ako dahil nagaaway sila ng yaya nya...
Maki: "I want scrambled eggs!"
ATe: " eh yan na nga I cooked scrambled eggs na!"
Maki: "That's not scrambled eggs..I WANT SCRAMBLED EGGS!"
He was so frustrated and gutom na kaya umiiyak na sya sa inis...so kinausap ko sya asking him what a scrambled egg is... sabi nya the one with yellow in the middle...sabi ko..."that's not scrambled eggs that's sunny side up.. OK?"
Next morning....
Maki: "Ate can you please cook SUNNY DAY UPSIDE for me please?"

Si Pancho (4) and Maki (3) mahilig manood ng action films. Favorite nila to name a few..Crouching Tiger...Charlie's Angels...and of course.. "The One" featuring Jet Li. Si Pancho would always pretend to be the "good Jet Li" while si Maki naman the "bad Jet Li" daw sya.
One time while they were watching "The One" Pancho asked "...Mom, is there The Two after The One?"
